Tadej Pogačar Wins UAE Tour 2025

Slovenian Tadej Pogačar became the winner of the UAE Tour 2025, the only eastern international race in the International Cycling Union calendar, organized by the Sports Council of Abu Dhabi, for the third time in history, strengthening his position as the most successful participant in the race.

Today, on Sunday, the competitions of the UAE Tour's men's edition, consisting of seven stages with a total length of 1013.2 km, completed with the participation of 140 riders from 20 international and continental teams.

Pogačar from the UAE Team Emirates team won the title after finishing in the final stage (Hafeet Mountain) at the summit of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain. The victory was a decisive result of a brilliant performance by the world champion in the concluding ascent in the classic mountain stage, covering the distance of 176 km in 3 hours 44 minutes 4 seconds, maintaining the victory over the closest competitors, Italian Giulio Ciccone (Lidl Trek) and Spaniard Beñat Belda (Bahrain Victorious).

Pogačar, who wore the yellow jersey at the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia, emphasized that his return to the UAE was justified after a two-month hiatus, adding to his victories the titles of 2021 and 2022, returning the title to the UAE Team Emirates, marking the 91st victory in his professional career and the first of the 2025 season.

The Slovenian dominated the race, accelerating 7.8 km to the finish, which was atypical for him, and was challenged by Ciccone and Belda, as well as Oscar Onley, all making every effort to reach the world champion, but could not keep up with his high speed.

Pogačar secured the title of the 2025 year, finishing all seven stages with a total time of 23:08:42 hours, finishing ahead of Ciccone by 1:14 minutes and Belda by 1:19 minutes, to earn himself the red jersey from International Holding Company.
